EDUCATING YOUNG MEN

Boys in middle school and high school have educational needs that are not being met in most public and private school settings. The current generation of boys is falling behind in school, resulting in a crisis in higher education. We use relational teaching and highly structured classes to educate boys how they learn best.

INSTILLING VIRTUE

We aim to shape our students into ethical, responsible, well-rounded members of society. Virtues-based education helps young men to develop resilience in the face of life’s many challenges. Character development programs are proven to accelerate academic success while laying the foundation for a meaningful, fulfilling life.

UPCOMING EVENTS

OUR FUNDAMENTALS

Army and Navy Academy is a military school for boys that is centered on a unique and singular mission: to forge virtue in young men for life. We feel that cultivating academic excellence and training exceptional scholar-athletes is the bare minimum of what a military boarding school should do. Our focus on virtue and character development makes us a unique opportunity for any young man looking to thrive in an increasingly challenging world.

We prioritize virtue in all that we do, a fact that is reflected in the environment of dignity and respect that pervades our campus. Our core values of Honor, Integrity, Gratitude, Compassion, Respect, and Responsibility don’t just guide our cadets: they are guidelines that help us all strive to uplift, serve, and inspire others. We teach our boys to live these values every day and in every interaction.

We are a certified kindness company, and our programming utilizes the strategies and outcomes of the Anti-Defamation League No Place for Hate program. Our commitment to cadet safety extends beyond physical security; it encompasses the emotional and social well-being of every member of our global campus. We live and are educated by a governing Honor Code: Cadets respect each other, they do not lie, cheat, steal or tolerate those that do.

We invite you to join us in doing our part to shape a world where human excellence is defined not only by achievement, but by character, where every individual is valued and empowered to contribute to a brighter tomorrow. Welcome to Army and Navy Academy, where greatness begins with virtue.

📢 Meet the Young Entrepreneurs Club!
Our Cadets are turning ideas into action. This semester, they revamped the campus vending machine program in a team competition to see which team's machine would generate the most revenue. Sales receipts will be tallied monthly and the team that generated the most revenue at the end of the year will win a prize! In addition, half of the revenues will go to fund future club activities. The other half will go back to the school. After choosing what they hope to be the most popular snacks, tonight team representatives made their first Costco run! 🛒

From concept to execution, they’re learning what it takes to succeed in business—and having fun along the way.

We’re so proud of their initiative, teamwork, and creativity. Stay tuned for updates on their entrepreneurial journey!

What’s your go-to vending machine snack? Drop it below, and you may find it in one of the ANA vending machines soon! ⬇️

Today, we celebrated Cadet Lance G at the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce Rising Star breakfast. Every month, high school seniors from schools in the Carlsbad community are recognized for "demonstrating character, integrity, love of learning, involvement in school and community, and the ability to overcome challenging life circumstances without compromising their education."

Lance was joined (in order) by Cory Hughes (Lead Counselor), Roland Miraco (Commandant of Cadets), Mr. and Mrs. Germani, his brother, Sean, and Dr. Zary (Dean of Academics) for the event. Congratulations Lance! The recognition is well deserved!

This month at the Academy, the value that we are contemplating is Gratitude. Cicero thought, “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.” Thanksgiving is a national expression of gratitude and as we embark on our Thanksgiving recess, this is our Academy’s opportunity to give thanks to all of you. Thank you to the Cadets, the parents, the alumni, our patrons, our faculty, our staff, neighbors, friends, and family. You fill us with purpose and conviction and provide us with the joy of family.

May this Thanksgiving remind all of us to give thanks and open our hearts to receive gratitude in return. As we forge virtuous young men for life, we will ask them to be ever mindful to give thanks and how this will change their world for the better.

Army and Navy Academy's varsity football team, under the leadership of Athletic Director and Head Coach Nehemiah Brunson, celebrated Coach Brunson’s 50th win this season and concluded a remarkable season with an 8-3 record. The team's journey ended in the D3 playoffs with a hard-fought game against Eastlake, where they fell 21-7. Despite the loss, the Warriors displayed commendable spirit and determination throughout the season.

Nehemiah Brunson, who joined the Army and Navy Academy as Head Coach in 2015, has been instrumental in revitalizing the Warriors' football program. Known for his strategic acumen and ability to inspire his players, Coach Brunson's coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.

"Reaching 50 wins is a tremendous honor. Each victory is a testament to the hard work our team puts in day in and day out. This milestone isn't just mine; it's a reflection of the dedication of every player and staff member who has been part of this journey," said Coach Brunson.
